My Photographic Journeys

The Serenity of Nature and Travel Photography

Nature and travel photography are about immersing myself in the world's beauty, from sprawling landscapes to intimate wildlife moments. My journey has taken me from the ancient ruins of Hampi and the vibrant cultural tapestry of Mysuru to the peaceful Tibetan settlement of Bylakuppe. I've also had the pleasure of capturing the serene beaches and lively atmosphere during my stay in Goa. Closer to home, I frequently capture the stunning sunrises over Bangalore's lakes and the diverse birdlife they attract. Each trip is an opportunity to connect with the raw essence of a place and tell its unique story through my lens.

My Hampi trip was particularly inspiring, with its unique boulder-strewn landscapes and magnificent ancient temples providing endless photographic opportunities, especially during the golden hour. In Mysuru, I explored both its grand palaces and the charming, quieter corners, always seeking to capture its historical elegance and local life. Bylakuppe offered a completely different experience, focusing on the serene monastic life and vibrant Tibetan culture.

Goa, with its blend of beautiful beaches, Portuguese architecture, and lively markets, presented a dynamic canvas for both nature and candid travel shots. Back in Bangalore, my passion for bird photography keeps me exploring the local lakes, documenting various species during their migrations and daily routines, often paired with breathtaking sunrise compositions.

Every landscape tells a story of time and elements, and it's a privilege to document these fleeting moments of natural grandeur. The pursuit of perfect light and composition in the wild is a rewarding challenge that continuously drives my passion.

Capturing the Pulse of the City: Street Photography

Street Photography Cover

Street photography is an art form that thrives on spontaneity and observation, documenting candid moments of urban life. My experiences have included the bustling chaos and vibrant colors of Bengaluru's KR Market, where every corner tells a story. I also had the privilege of participating in a Mysuru photowalk organized by India Tourism in 2023 for World Photography Day, an event that truly honed my eye for decisive moments in public spaces. Capturing the dynamic energy of Chitrasanthe and the unique artisan life in Pottery Town has further enriched my understanding of human connection and societal interactions in urban environments.

From the early morning rush to the late evening glow, every street corner has a narrative waiting to be uncovered. It's about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Whether it's a fleeting expression, a unique interaction, or the rhythm of daily life, street photography allows me to capture the unscripted theater of the world around us. It's a continuous pursuit of authentic moments.

At KR Market, I focused on the raw energy of vendors and buyers, the intricate details of flower stalls, and the interplay of light and shadow in crowded alleys. The Mysuru photowalk was a fantastic opportunity to explore the city's streets with a group of passionate photographers, challenging me to find unique perspectives on familiar landmarks and everyday life. During the Chitrasanthe photowalk, I aimed to capture the essence of artistic expression and the diverse crowd that gathers to celebrate art.

Pottery Town offered a glimpse into a traditional craft, allowing me to document the hands-on work and concentration of artisans, creating a beautiful narrative of skill and tradition.

I find endless inspiration in the unpredictable nature of street life, always ready to capture the raw, unfiltered emotions and stories that unfold in an instant.

The Art of Portrait & Event Photography

Portrait & Event Photography Cover

Portrait and event photography are about capturing the essence of people and the atmosphere of special occasions. My work in this genre includes the grace and storytelling of Bharatanatyam dance photography, where I focus on intricate expressions and fluid movements. I've also covered various lively college events, capturing the energy and joy of student life. For portraiture, I enjoy traditional model portraits, emphasizing classic poses and lighting, and have had memorable experiences with pre-wedding shoots, including one particularly beautiful session in Goa.

Each portrait session is a collaboration, aiming to reveal the subject's unique story and personality through careful composition and a relaxed atmosphere. Events, on the other hand, demand an agile approach to capture fleeting moments that define the occasion.

From the elegance of classical dance to the joyous chaos of celebrations, my goal is always to create images that resonate with emotion and authenticity, preserving memories for a lifetime.

Photographing Bharatanatyam dancers requires a deep appreciation for the art form, allowing me to anticipate key poses and capture the emotion embedded in each 'mudra' and expression. College events, on the other hand, are all about quick reflexes to document candid interactions, speeches, and performances, preserving the vibrant spirit of the occasion. In traditional model portraits, my aim is to bring out the subject's personality through thoughtful composition, lighting, and posing, often incorporating elements that reflect their cultural background.

The pre-wedding shoot in Goa was a delightful experience, blending romantic couple shots with the scenic coastal backdrop, utilizing the natural light of the beaches and the charming Goan architecture.

Whether it's the subtle nuances of a pose or the vibrant energy of a crowd, I strive to capture the genuine spirit and connection in every frame, making each photo a treasured memory.
